Catherine Hays, D.O.

Catherine (Katie) Hays, D.O. is a Midwest native who made her way to the tropics to continue practicing family medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree at Baylor University and her medical degree at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences. After graduating family medicine residency in 2019 from St. Petersburg General Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fl she joined a private practice in Seminole, Fl (Bridget Bellingar DO PAC) where she practiced the full scope of family medicine including but not limited to chronic condition treatment, orthopedic injections, physicals, women's health, endocrine, preventative care, urgent care, dermatologic biopsies, osteopathic manipulative treatment, wound care, and she received her preliminary functional medicine certification from the institute of functional medicine .

She then expanded her practice with a move to the USVIs (St. Thomas and St. John) and halfway through her pregnancy decided to move back to the states while still experiencing some island life in the Florida keys where she continued to work as a family physician serving island communities. She also continued to expand on her functional medicine training providing bioidentical hormone replacement and treatment to patients in need of the treatment. Although the experiences were appreciated, it became evident halfway through her second pregnancy that her family needed to return to where they felt to be at home in St. Petersburg, Fl. She happily joined trusted colleagues from residency as an independent physician partner at Sunergy Wellness Clinic as of March of 2025.
